Excellent alternative rubber buffer stops for the BMW R2v Airhead Boxer & K series seats.

As used in our own developed seats and BMW replica seats.

Slightly thicker than the original buffers as fitted to several BMW seats as front rubber stops (the large type) thus offering a better fit as these seats never sat properly on their sub-frames, one issue being the rubber stops being too small, forcing the seat to put undue strain on the hinges and their frame pins.

IMPORTANT:

Re-drilling (slightly enlarging) the seat base may be required for a better and  easier fit of these rubber stops (requires a hole of 10mm). We recommend that you warm the rubber stops first (hot water or gentle use of an hair dryer) and use some lubricant to help push it into place.

On our own seats, we tend to use cut off the back prong and insert a M5 CSK bolt which then is bolted to our seat, prepared with M5 captive/rivnuts. This allows to fine tune the fit of the seat to the frame by using rubber shims/spacers/washers if required.
