Tool designed to ease the fitting of the damper guide into the fork stanchion by smoothly and gently compressing its sealing piston rings.

Its internal tapered bore allows the delicate fork damper guide piston rings to be compressed thus preventing damages against the fork stanchion bottom threads.

Essential tool for the correct and proper fitting of the fork damper guides (rods) back into the fork stanchions. Based on the original factory tool, it removes all difficulty and risk of expensive damages when refurbishing these forks.

Tool made of nylon, designed to seamlessly fit onto the fork stanchions bottom threads. Please oil lightly the tool bore before use to ease the compression and sliding of the sealing piston rings.

IMPORTANT: Please ensure the tool is engaged squarely onto the fork threads and gently position in place. Failure to do so will cause damage to the tool (cross threading).

Suitable for all 36mm forks fitted to the BMW /5, /6 and /7 Series (made between 1970 to September 1984).
