FR BMW Monolever (post 1985) ignition module w/ stainless steel bracket
BMW ignition module for all the BMW Monolever Series, produced after September 1984, including our own stainless steel bracket, s/s bolts and spacers for a quick and easy replacement of this fail prone item.
It includes a sturdy alloy heatsink for better dispersion of heat, a significant improvement on the original set up (cast alloy single unit) .
Although the original set up was not particularly fragile, the ignition module heatsink paste degraded due to age and heat, a fact that was often neglected during servicing which inevitably often lead to a sudden and inconvenient failure of the module, stopping the engine altogether.
Our replacement module includes a stainless steel bracket, s/s fastener and spacers to enable the quick and easy installation of this module on the frame's original mounting bracket.
If our module has not failed yet, it is nevertheless a good idea to carry one of these modules as a spare in your centre tool tray or rear cowl glove box.
