The famous and legendary "pumper" Dell'Orto carburettors, as fitted to the BMW R90S and many other high performance Italian motorcycles such as the Ducati 900SS Desmo. Outstanding performance due to its accelerator pump design (injecting additional 4cc of fuel every time you WOT - wide open throttle) giving instant acceleration through the gears.
After many requests from our customers to have a ready-made kit, we present you our FlatRacer BMW R2v Dell Orto PHM40 conversion kit. This kit comprises all the necessary parts to fit on the pre1981 (September 1980) BMW R2v Series models such as the R80 and R100 including Monolever and Paralever motorcycles.
- Pair of brand new Dell Orto PHM 40's (pair) - jetting suitable for modified and race tuned R90 & R100 engines
- Stainless steel cylinder head adaptor stubs (pair)
- Original BMW inlet tract tubes (pair)
- Original BMW rubber sleeves (pair)
- Mahle replacement air filter (round type for pre Sept 80 models) or optional K&N high performance filter
- Pair of throttle cables
- Fuel float cold start ticklers
OPTIONS:
- 1 - Standard Mahle replacement paper air filter
- 2 - K&N high performance (oiled cotton) replacement air filter
IMPORTANT: This kit is supplied with cold start fuel float ticklers, unlike the choke mechanism usually fitted to the smaller PHM38's.
Original 70mm Dell Orto alloy bell mouths and conical air filters are also available as optional fitting to the replacement air filter. Please do contact us with your specific requirements and we will compose a kit to your specifications.
Cold start fuel float ticklers are fitted as standard thus eliminating the need for choke cables and its fiddly 2 cable air box lever mechanism.
An alternative kit with the PHM38's which are more suitable for standard tune engines (65 to 70HP) is also available, please see our other listings.

A superb kit, offering a noticeable improvement of throttle response and overall performance. Ideally suited for 900 and 1000cc engines or smaller engines tuned for performance such as those using our Performance and 1000cc conversion kits.
