BMW Airhead Boxer, Oilhead & K series Bevel Final Drive seal holder socket tool - 33-1-700
BMW Airhead Boxer, Oilhead & K series Bevel Final Drive seal holder socket tool
33-1-700
BMW Airhead Boxer, Oilhead R4v & K series Bevel Final Drive seal holder socket tool - 33-1-700 (33 1 700, 331700)
Heavy duty castellated socket tool, designed to quickly and safely remove and install the Final Drive/Bevel box pinion seal holder ring.
Hardened and phosphatized steel, ensuring corrosion and wear resistance and a long working life.
Can be used with a tommy bar (available as an option) or a 36mm hex socket or a spanner (not supplied).
For safety, we recommend the use of our Bevel Box holding tool (33-1-500) that allows you to safely secure it to a vice whilst performing rebuild work.
Please see other tools such as the Bevel Drive pinion and Drive Shaft lock tool.
IMPORTANT:
To be used by HAND only - NOT to be used with power tools/impact wrenches.
Before using the tool, please inspect carefully the seal holder ring and its notches. It is not uncommon to see damage from previous attempt to remove the ring using unsuitable tools (chisels, screwdrivers etc). Any damage that prevents the tool from engaging its four prongs full and squarely will need to be addressed first as otherwise damage to the tool can occur.
Please consult the BMW factory workshop manual for the correct seal holder removal.
OPTONS:
Optional 14mm hardened steel tommy bar also available as an option, if required. Please see the options box for selection.
