FlatRacer BMW Airhead Boxer (69-80) Clutch Let Down Tool

Tool set that allows safe and quick removal of the clutch on the BMW Airhead Boxer models made between 1969 and September 1980, equipped with the heavy type flywheel.

Uniquely, our kit includes nylon spacers so the stainless steel spacer nuts do not mark or damage the clutch pressure plate.

Simply remove three of the six retaining M8 bolts for the clutch assembly to the flywheel and insert our tool, lightly tightening the stainless steel spacer nuts, using the supplied nylon spacers between the nuts and the clutch plate. 

Withdraw the other remaining three (3) bolts. 

Gently undo level and gradually the s/s spacer nuts until all the pressure is released from the clutch. You can then extract the whole clutch assembly quite safely.

OBS: It will NOT fit the R45 & R65 models (78-80) not the later post 81 models equipped with the lighter type flywheel.
