BMW Airhead Boxer Oil Cooler Kit

Excellent quality oil cooler kit, designed to keep your oil temperature at constant level, preventing overheating, especially useful if you ride in a hot climate or do a lot of inner city riding. 

Complete with all the necessary components to convert any Airhead made post 1976, fitting the oil cooler under the steering head, as per the original BMW R100RS models. 

Fitting parts may vary slightly, depending on the model. Please let us know your bike model and year so we can ensure we will send the correct kit.

Kit assembled to order, please do allow us between 5 to 10 working days to fully prepare it, depending on availability of all parts.

Free flowing system, thermostatic plate is available separately at additional cost. Please check options box.

OPTIONS:

1 - Thermostat oil filter sandwich plate

IMPORTANT: If you leave in a colder climate, we strongly suggest fitting also the thermostat plate. The thermostat regulates the temperature of the engine oil and at which point it allows the oil to fully flow through the oil cooler (starts to open at 90°C/194°F, fully open at 110°C/230°F). On colder climates, this allows the engine to reach the normal operating temperature faster thus minimising the warm up period.
