Comprehensive Flatracer BMW R2v Airhead Boxer Handling kit, similar to our Suspension kit but with the addition of our FlatRacer/Tarozzi rear sets and Tarozzi race clip ons. Designed to fit all the BMW R2v /6 and /7 Series, it comprises:
- Tubular steel fork brace
- Progressive front suspension springs
- FlatRacer fork pre-load adjusters
- BMW fork seals
- Hagon 2910 fully adjustable rear shock absorbers
- FlatRacer/Tarozzi rear sets
- Tarozzi race clip ons
NB: The Hagon 2910 shocks are built to the specific customers' specifications, taking into ride height, account pillion, luggage, riding style, type of roads ridden etc. We will contact you shortly after purchase regarding your requirements. As these are made to order, please do allow circa 5 to 10 days for these to be ready.
OPTIONS:
1 - We can supply our rear sets with either satin silver knurl foot pegs or matt black pegs with rubber inserts. Please do let us know your choice.
2 - Hagon 2910 shocks are supplied as standard with black springs. Optionally, we can build them with chrome springs at no additional cost. Please let us know if you prefer chrome springs.
3 - This kit can be upgraded to custom built Hagon Nitro stainless steel shocks for the twin shock bikes or Mono N shocks for the later Monolevers, at an additional cost. We offer similar kits for all other BMW models. Please contact us for more details.
IMPORTANT: Fork oil should be renewed when installing new springs and seals. Apologies, we are unable to ship oil as it is a flammable material thus restricted by our carriers.
The high quality and excellent performance offered by the Hagon fully adjustable shocks (pre-load and bound/rebound damping rate) will make a huge improvement over the often tired original Boge or inferior replacement.
Our own progressive springs offer a more controlled front suspension movement, easily absorbing minor road surface irregularities for added comfort but stiffening considerably under load thus making for a safe ride.
Our fork pre-load adjusters allow for a fine tuning of the front suspension, making it much easier to dial more or less pre-load according to specific requirement you may have, firmer for a sportier ride, softer more a more comfortable ride whilst touring.
The FlatRacer fork brace is a proven design, derived from Trial and Race bikes (such as the R90S championed by Butler & Smith in the Seventies) that dramatically increase the telescopic fork torsional rigidity, always a weak point with this type of front suspension, especially the ones with such a small diameter front spindle. This is the reason why BMW later enlarged its spindle diameter (albeit an hollow design for less un-sprung weight) significantly for the Monolever and Paralever models.
Complete kit to fully alter and improve the handling and ride quality of your BMW Airhead Boxer. The difference has to be experienced to be fully appreciated.
