High quality replacement starter motor for all BMW R2v Airhead Boxer made after September 1974 (9 teeth), offering superior performance, low maintenance and long working life.

Please do not confuse this starter motor with knock off, cheap and unreliable copies from the Far East where often warranty is not enforceable. This item is manufactured by a Bosch subsidiary company and undergoes rigorous quality control testing before it is released for sale. As used on our own bike rebuilds without issues.

Straight fit and direct replacement of the old and heavy Bosch unit and the notoriously troublesome later starters (magnets fall off) fitted to the Monolever and Paralevers after 1988.

Double sealed case keeps its inner mechanism clean for a long working life with minimal maintenance.
