- 1 x FlatRacer BMW /6 & /7 short 5" stainless steel front mudguard - pre-drilled and fiited w/ s/s fasteners
This kit uses our tubular steel fork brace, a very sturdy and proven design, will enhance the road holding qualities on your BMW. This tubular brace replaces the original flimsy mudguard mount & provides substantial bracing of the fork legs. Increases the forks' torsional rigidity, always a weak point with older telescopic forks.
The fork brace is accurately and carefully made, paying special attention to symmetries and and parallelism, all important for proper forks' alignment and function. Made of thick steel and powder coated for a long life. Black finish.
The kit also includes our own short 5" stainless steel front mudguard, circa 61cm long (measured along its outer/top curvature).
The front mudguard is pre-trimmed, pre-drilled and pre-mated to the fork brace using some very nice stainless steel fasteners, including hard to source nyloc s/s dome nuts plus rubber washers to help insulate it from vibrations.
Very high quality stainless steel mudguard, made with strong gauge material (thick), highly polished. These mudguards are carefully cut, trimmed and drilled by us to suit a specific application. Manufactured for us in Continental Europe, you will not find better (we know, we searched high and low for a good supplier). Over the years, we've must have sold hundreds and has been one of our most popular items.
This fork brace kit is built to our usual high standards and great care, to ensure quality and accuracy of fitting.
IMPORTANT:
1 - Fit is fairly straightforward as our brace replaces the original pressed steel mudguard holder. It is easier and quicker to remove the front wheel and slide the fully assembled fork brace kit from underneath. Care should be exercised to avoid scratching and cause other unsightly damages as it is a tight fit.
Standalone fork braces are also available as these are designed also to accept the original BMW front mudguards. Please contact us for more details.
