Fits ALL BMW Airhead Boxer models (1970-1996).
This kit includes:
- FlatRacer BMW R2v Airhead Boxer sand cast alloy cover
- FlatRacer BMW R2v Airhead Boxer die cast engine oil breather catch tank.
- All the required stainless steel fasteners and brass fittings

Our top engine cover replaces the original starter motor cover and air filter box. Close match to the engine alloy finish.
Precision machined and carefully hand finished for an accurate fit.
Complete with all the required stainless steel fasteners and brass fittings for the catch tank including the pressure relief valve, 90 degree union and oil level visor.
The oil catch tank provides a very neat and elegant solution for re-routing the breather hoses, offering a cleaner option opposed to being vented to the atmosphere or introduced on the intake system thus reducing power (weaker air/fuel mix). Ideal if running carburettor bellmouths / trumpets or conical air filters.
Sold as here a kit, offering savings over individually sold items.
IMPORTANT:
1 - Please be aware that you will need to re-route/modify the engine breather hose(s) or adapt a new one to suit.
2 - You will need to relocate the choke lever on pre 1981 motorcycles or fit a manual choke lever conversion kit
3 - You will need to re-route the cross gearbox fuel line or trim our cover to cater for it.
4 - Alternative air filter arrangements are required, such as fitting conical air filters or carburettor bellmouths.
