FlatRacer BMW Cafe Racer Daytona tail kit
A BMW Cafe Racer short and sporty tail seat that particularly suits modified/shortened rear sub-frames or used in conjunction with one of our rear mudguards. The FlatRacer BMW Daytona tail kit will fit the BMW /7, all R45/65 and Monolever models.
This kit includes:
- FlatRacer Daytona GRP tail section, pre-trimmed and drilled
- Pre-fitted steel front hinge incl. s/s fasteners
- Pre-fitted BMW OEM locking spigot
- Pre-fitted front rubber bump stops incl. s/s fasteners
- Upholstered seat base, pre-fitted w/ rivnuts & stainless fasteners (8 fixing points)
It fits all the BMW /7 Series (76-84), R45/65 (78-84) and the Monolever models (85-96)
As per our standard practice with our tail kits, it comes with a pre-fitted upholstered seat base, fixed by 8 stainless steel bots and penny washers onto the base pre-fitted rivnuts. This makes it easier to remove it for paint or repair.
The foam (50mm thick) has the correct density for comfort and ergonomics and the heavy duty, double skinned and padded vinyl seat cover features our trademark pleated design, hot pressed in place to keep it water resistant. The seat cover is very carefully and neatly fitted in place, held in place by large flange alloy rivets.
This kit includes all the labour for trimming, drilling and pre-fitting all the parts, requiring only minimal preparation work to fit on your bike. Optional alloy trim available at extra cost, (shown, see below).
We can supply a stainless steel rear mudguard and a pre-fitted tail light such as the L679, fitted to our FlatRacer BMW Mancha Branca project. Please contact us for more details.

IMPORTANT:
1 -The Daytona tail kit is considerably shorter than the original seats and suitable for short-medium height/average build riders as the seat area is fairly limited.
2 - Please note that due to hollow design of this tail kit, it is not possible to fit a rear hinge. The kit includes a pre-fitted mid hinge and a BMW OEM lock spigot which requires the original seat lock mechanism to be retained. The tail also includes pre-fitted front rubber stops. This arrangement has proven to be a very acceptable solution to fix the tail kit to the original sub-frame, without irreversible modifications. 3 - These tail kits are made to order to fit each specific bike model and year and customers' specific requests. please do allow us 1-2 weeks to have it ready from point of order.
