1983 BMW R80RT transformed in a pukka Cafe Racer.

Ex-police bike, I believe from Birmingham, was in a fair condition when we bought it. Apparently, it has done around 9k miles since retirement from police work, reason given why clock showed only 9k, it has been reset at that time.
The previous owner explained to me that this bike has gone thorough and serious recomissioning before going into private hands, which I do believe as this bike was incredibly easy to dismantle. There was copper grease everywhere, no stuck bolts!

This engine has already the more desirable Nikasil cylinders and the lighter flywheel plus the original electronic ignition system for improved running and reliability.

Please note that earlier forks and brake system have been adopted and completely refurbished. All other mechanical components have been cleaned, replaced or refurbished as appropriate.
