Hagon

Hagon Products - Serving Motorcyclists Since 1958

Hagon Products was created by Alf Hagon in 1958, and in those days it specialised in manufacturing Speedway and Grasstrack chassis.

The business came about as a result of Alf's very successful racing background, he was British Grasstrack champion 11 times and combined this with a successful 12 year speedway career. Hagon built frames have won many World championships

In 1965 the business acquired the Pentonville Wheel Works and started building and repairing wheels. At around this time Alf ventured into the world of drag racing, creating his own legendary 1000cc V twin supercharged Nitro Methane injected Jap engined special. He was to become the first person in Europe to break the 9 second and 200 mph barrier for the 1/4 mile. For a long time Alf dominated the sport until he decided to call it a day and concentrate on the business.

In 1985 one of Alf's suppliers Girling Shock Absorbers, decided to stop production and he acquired the tooling for this product range. The Hagon brand of shock absorbers was then created.

The business is now run by his son Martin, also a successful racer having competed at the highest level in both Grasstrack and Sidecar Cross. The business has recently moved from its Leyton shop to a modern factory in Hainault where Hagon Products continue to expand its shock absorber and wheel business. The factory is equipped with up to date CNC machinery and produces the majority of the components for the shock absorbers in house.

Although Hagon lists nearly 1000 shock applications in the application lists, Hagon has more specifications available so contact us if you are looking for some odd or unusal shock that FlatRacer doesn't list.

Hagon Products are sold all over the World and enjoy an enviable reputation for an extensive range of very high quality products with unbeatable prices.
